A numbing cream may be applied to the area for 15-30 minutes prior to the treatment. The area is then cleaned with antiseptic and marked accordingly, before the Skin Booster is injected using a microdroplet or mesotherapy technique of tiny injections. Depending upon the type of skin booster used, the treatment may require 3-4 sessions 2-4 weeks apart. Results are visible from the first session in most people, but usually takes a few sessions to give a long lasting effect. It is recommended to repeat the treatment every 3-6 months to maintain the results. After the treatment(s) some bruising, slight blush, pain, itching, discolouration and minor bumps may occur at the injection site, but these typically resolve spontaneously within 2 to 5 days.

Avoid alcohol, any blood thinner medication, antibiotics 48 hrs prior to the treatment. If you are prone to cold sores, keloids please inform your doctor prior to the treatment. Avoid heavy make up on the day of the procedure.

Avoid any heat inducing activities for 48 hours such as strenuous exercise, spas saunas and steam rooms. Avoid your night skin care routine products (AHAs, retinols, vitamin C) on the night of treatment and oil-based makeup for 24 hours. You can lightly cleanse on the day of treatment using light pressure. Avoid touching the face on the day of treatment to avoid infection. Avoid facials, waxing, chemical peels, skin needling, microdermabrasion, IPL or laser treatments for 2 weeks after treatment. Do not massage the treatment area unless instructed to do so.
